Dell Server Basics

Servers are designed to handle backend tasks like databases and file/printer sharing, while desktops are meant for user applications. Some key differences are that servers have more CPU cores and cache, larger RAM, RAID disk configurations, and network interfaces optimized for high throughput. An entry-level server provides benefits like data protection and reduced security risks compared to using a desktop as a file server. Such a server can support the needs of most small businesses with fewer than 10 users.
