Our school and district understands that adequate literacy skills are critical to the academic growth of our students and has set goals to embed and support literacy in all content areas and grade levels. As a principal intern I share the important role of motivating students to understand and learn from text. I will work closely with teachers to provide appropriate and necessary support throughout the school year. Additionally, I will work to share reading strategies and resources that will improve reading outcomes for all students. We will work to create a common resource area as well so teachers can incorporate literacy strategies and resources into daily lesson plans.
