BIOGRAPHY

Wassily Kandinsky was born on December, 16th, 1866 in Moscow Died of cerebrovascular disease in Paris on December 13, 1944 Entered Law Faculty of Moscow University and became a lawyer Left law to become an influential abstract painter and art theorist Married his cousin, Anna Chimyakina in 1892 Moved to Germany to go to the Munich Academy of Arts

ART
Because he learned to play the piano and cello as a kid, Kandinsky approached color with a musicians sensibility. The French works opened his eyes to the influence of colors capacity to communicate psychologically and spiritually through the artist. Concerning the Spiritual in Art After separating from his second wife, he moved back to Russia, where his artistic eye was influenced by the constructivist movement, based on hard lines, dots and geometry.
