Based on my summer research into A brief history of Dieter Rams I designed a multi-page website that effectively informs a user about the interesting and informative facts, figures, observations and visual content that I discovered through my research journey. From my research on Dieter Rams I went away and mind mapped out a whole range of directions that my website could be taken; from the basic biographical site to delving deeper into his design principles. This was a long and stressful journey which led me to think outside the box and made me look at why I took an interest in him and mainly his products. It was the shapes, features and simplicity of the designs that started my love affair with Dieter Rams and his legacy at Braun. I focused solely on how I can express this passion through a website.

Concept
My concept is to focus solely on the iconic features of his products that defined his era as Brauns Director of design but also his legacy within Industrial design. Illustraing to my audience how a single feature can define a product. It will be a website based on vector illustrations of the specific features that will transform into the actual product showing how and where it fits. The audience will be people who already know of Dieter Rams but dont necessarily know the product range and his legacy. Itll mainly entertain viewers as not much information will be provided apart from though external links.
