This course aims to teach students the working principles of different types of motors and how electrical energy is converted to mechanical energy. The course will cover energy technologies and resources, three-phase systems and magnetic circuits, transformers, electromechanical energy conversion, efficiency and process performance, sensors and actuators. Students will learn through lectures, simulations, homework assignments, and exams. The course objectives are to familiarize students with electromechanical energy conversion and teach how different energy forms are converted.
