Objectives Prepare participants for the practice of driving at 4x4 vehicles, passing on the proper techniques for getting the most out of a 4X4 vehicle, to the crossing of obstacles, to remove the vehicle from difficult situations using the winch and to the use of navigation equipment. Target audition Drivers of 4WD vehicles wishing to acquire skills in all-terrain driving. Number of participants: up to 12 Time: 14 hours (2 days) This course may be carried out on consecutive working days and week-ends. Working Time: From 09h00 to 17h00 Location: to be designated Program General characterization of a 4X4 all-terrain (off-road): features, capabilities, chassis, suspension, transmission, equipment Basic principles of off-road driving (vs. road driving) Driving fast in 4x4 all-terrain Safety measures (driver, passenger, vehicle) Techniques for transposition of obstacles: slopes (uphill and downhill), hills, ditches, crossing fords, low adherence conditions (soil, mud, rocks, sand), side bends, crossing of axes, etc.. Take out techniques Use the winch Guidance and navigation Use of "road-books" Practice of all-terrain driving
Courses methodology Training theory / practice - methodology based on the expository method, followed by demonstration and practical exercises of driving, for each set of topics to be addressed under the program. Evaluation Formative evaluation through analysis of the trainees behavior in the course exercises.

* NOTE: The course is held with the participants' vehicles. Within conditions to be established may be provided training vehicle.
