HDTU Start Up

The unit leak test was carried at a hydrogen pressure of 19.5 kg/cm2 from 1640 hrs on 6/4/06. After satisfactory leak testing at 19.5 kg/cm2, the make up compressor was started at 1230 hrs on 7/4/06 and the system has been pressurized to 29 kg/cm2. Further leak checks will be conducted at system pressures of 29/40/50/60/80/90 kg/cm2 while simultaneously raising reactor temperatures to bring the unit to a feed cut in condition. It was noted that the available HSD feedstock in Tank 584 has a high tint or dark color and this was discussed with SPNM(OMS

The unit leak test carried out with Hydrogen pressure of 19.5 kg/cm2 since 1640 hrs of 6/4/06.
After satisfactory leak test/checks at 19.5 kg/cm2, Make up compressor (09-KA-RP-002A) was
started up at 1230 hrs of 7/4/06 and the system has been pressurized to 29 kg/cm2. Further the
leak checks will be carried at the system pressure of 29/40/50/60/80/90 kg/cm2. Simultaneously
Reactor temperatures will be raised to bring the unit at Feed Cut in condition.
Note: available HSD Feed stock in Tank no.584, Tint is high (dark in colour), discussed with
SPNM(OMS) to correct the same.
