Climate - the average, long-term behaviour of the atmosphere - can be described in terms of a wide variety of elements. Some of these are very familiar (such as temperature, rain, wind), while others may be less so (radiation, evaporation). This task examines how to visualize climate and try to understand its patterns and variations. This involves an understanding of climate processes and the analysis of climatic records. Use the link below to search the climatic records of Geelong, and use spreadsheet (Excel) to answer the following questions. Bureau of Meteorology - Search 1) Search for the rainfall records of Geelong West area using any nearest bureau stations and select month-wise records. Plot a Line Graph and draw markers of each point for this data where x represents the month and y represents the amount of rainfall. [10 marks] 2) Search for the daily temperature records of Geelong area, using any nearest bureau, for last month. Plot a column graph where x represents the date and y represents the temperature of that day. [10 marks]
