ASA Research: How Is The ASA FUNDED?

The ASA ensures advertising is legal, decent, honest and truthful by reviewing ads for compliance with codes. It is funded by advertisers and regulates non-broadcast advertising through voluntary self-regulation where companies self-govern. For ads that appear, the ASA will investigate complaints, find ads in breach of codes, and require advertisers to remove, edit or take action on non-compliant ads.
