Eclipse-While it is said that anybody who knows Java can make an Android app, in reality you will need more than just a basic know-how of Java. The Java programming language is quite verbose, and without code completion, Javadoc popups and advanced refactoring, it can be a pain to use compared to other, newer programming languages. In short, without Eclipses productivity features, working with Java can brutal. Look for a developer who is already familiar with the Eclipse IDE, as it can have a steep learning curve for beginner. SQL-If you want to make the most of Androids capability in designing data models, you need to look for developers who are skilled in SQL to place database models. XML Another skill that you need to look for in an Android app developer is XML. While it is not necessarily important to look for a developer who is very good at XML as it is rarely edited manually, but a programmer who is well-versed in XML and how Android uses it will have an easier time fixing problems that occur in XML in your apps.
