Sound Processing: Vikas Sahdev Rajesh Samudrala Rajani Shankar Sadasivam

This document discusses various digital signal processing techniques for sound effects, including delay, echoes, reverberation, flanging, and equalization. Delay takes an audio signal and plays it back after a delay time. Multiple echoes are created using a filter with feedback. Reverberation mimics reflections in a room using all-pass filters in comb and Schroeder reverberators. Flanging applies a time-varying delay. Equalization divides the audio into frequency bands using low-pass, band-pass and high-pass filters. Examples of input and output sound files are provided for each effect.

Summary
Music signal processing includes a wide

variety of effects and filtering techniques. By implementing different filtering techniques, we obtained different sound effects. By the application of DSP, sound quality can be improved.
