Demographics are used during the planning of a media text.

Demographics are give the producers vital information about the audience and what they would like to see from the media text. If no one is going to watch/read/play/buy the text, the producers are going to struggle to turn over any kind of profit from said text. preparation. This is done through several forms of outreach such as: questionnaires, focus groups, and comparisons to existing media texts, and spend a great deal of time and money finding out if there is anyone out there who might be interested in their idea.

Conclusion
From this extensive research I can concluded:
There is an over whelming majority of females that prefer

Romantic Comedies to males. This suggests that for our Rom Com movie opening we should predominately focus on creating an opening that the female gender would enjoy.
The other very useful piece of information I discovered

with the research was that the younger viewers werent too interested in Romantic Comedies. Thus, we shall be creating our film opening with the 16-30 age group in mind.
