FEM Test

The document describes three problems related to finite element analysis: 1. A parallel-series spring system with five springs of varying stiffnesses subjected to a 1000N load. The problem involves determining the displacements at each node using finite element methods. 2. A tapered bar with a cross-sectional area that changes along its length and subjected to a distributed axial load. The problem involves identifying the stiffness matrix and force vector of a typical element for the bar based on its strain energy and work done by applied forces. 3. Modeling a uniform bar as a heat conduction element to obtain a finite element formulation analogous to [K]{d} = {F} where the energy functional for heat flow is given
