Line Graphs

Line graphs show connected data points that allow estimation of values between plotted points. The first document example shows temperature of heated water over time, with a starting temperature of 18°C and estimated temperature of 61°C after 5.5 minutes. The second example shows distance traveled by a mountain biker over time, with the rider covering 24 miles over 3 hours and taking approximately 1.5 hours to travel 12 miles.

Line Graphs

Line graphs usually show a connected series of data. Unlike bar charts, they allow us to estimate data between the points that are plotted.
