EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs are manufacturing units that commit their entire production of goods and services for export. They can export all kinds of goods and services except those prohibited in the ITC(HS) handbook. EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs can procure goods and services, including capital goods, from domestic tariff areas or bonded warehouses without paying duties. They can also procure goods from international exhibitions in India. EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs must be positive net foreign exchange earners when calculated cumulatively over five years from starting business.

INTRODUCTION

EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs
All those manufacturing units committing their entire production of goods and services are classified as EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs. Trading units are however barred and hence not covered under this scheme. EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs can export all kinds of goods and services except those which are prohibited under ITC(HS) handbook.

EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs..
Export of special chemicals,organism,materials, equipments & technology(SCOMET),shall be subject to fulfillment of conditions laid down in ITC(HS) handbook. EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs can procure all kinds of goods and services including capital goods, required for their export production, from DTA or a bonded warehouse in DTA and also from international exhibitions held in India, without payment of duties.

EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs.
EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs can procure goods including second hand goods, to create central facility ex. R&D etc, for the purpose of boosting exports. EOUs/EHTP/STP/BTPs shall be a +ve nett foreign exchange earner. The NFE shall be calculated on cumulative basis for a period of 5 years from the date of commencement of business.
