Hostel Wiring

In hostel wiring, independent control for each room is provided with SPDT for independent control of lamp in that room. There is a Main Switch (MNSW) and Master Switch (MRSW), both of which are in the warden’s room and under his control. MNSW controls power supply to all the rooms while MRSW acts as a master switch. During study hours, the warden switches on MRSW and lamps in all rooms are mandatorily ON. After study hours, the warden switches off MRSW and hence independent control of lamps are possible by individual SPDT switches (S1, S2) in each room
