Question 1 The two 4-bar mechanisms O2ABO4 shown in the Figure below are inversions or each other with link lengths as shown. The coupler point P is 40 mm from A and 50 mm from B. If angular velocity of link 2 is 100 rad per second in both cases obtain the angular velocities of the coupler link and the linear velocity of the coupler point, P using velocity images.

Question 2 The length of various links of a mechanism shown in figure is as follows: OA=150mm CD=125 mm AC=600 mm BD=500 mm CQ=QD=145 mm OQ=625 mm The crank OA rotates at 6 rad/s in the counterclockwise direction. Locate ALL the instantaneous centres. Use double arrow to indicate the ICs located at infinity. Using the graphical method based on the instaneous centres, determine the velocity of the slider B and the angular velocity of the link BD when the crank has turned an angle of 45 degree with the vertical.
Question 3 Figure below shows an Andrew variable stroke engine mechanism. The length of the cranks OA and QB are 90mm and 45 mm respectively. The diameters of wheels with centers O and Q are 250mm and 120mm respectively other length are shown in the diagram in mm. There is a rolling contact between the two wheels. If OA rotates at 100 rpm, determine 1) The velocity of the slider D 2) The angular velocity of links BC and CD
Question 4 Mechanism shown in the Figure below consists of a slotted wheel rolling on flat ground along the x-axis. A slider moves in the slot and at the instant under consideration, slot centre, C is along the horizontal line passing through the centre of the wheel, B. Link AB is rigidly connected to the slider and pivoted to link O2A. Obtain all the instantaneous centres. If link 2 has an angular velocity of 20 rad/s CW obtain the angular velocities of all bodies. Obtain the absolute velocity of point, B on link AB and also its velocity with respect to the rolling wheel.
