Engine Control On Modern Civil Aircraft: Figure 2.30 Rolls Royce Trent 800 - Overview (Courtesy of Rolls Royce)

The document discusses engine control on modern civil aircraft. It describes how permanent magnet alternators supply primary power for critical engine control functions. It also mentions that bleed air provides actuator motive power to control various turbine blade cooling, inlet guide vanes, variable stator vanes, and bleed air controls. Additionally, bleed air supplies medium pressure air to the airframe for anti-icing, cabin pressurization, cabin temperature control, and other functions.
