About Smps and Troubleshooting: To Check Wether Smps Is Working or Not

SMPS stands for Switch Mode Power Supply. It is commonly used to convert AC to DC power. To check if an SMPS is working, take a small piece of wire and connect one end to the green wire port and the other end to the black wire port. If the fan in the SMPS is running, then the SMPS is good. If not, open the cover and check if the capacitor inside the SMPS is bulged at the top. If bulged, replace the capacitor with the same value as the earlier one. The document then lists the different connectors and wires in an ATX SMPS and their corresponding voltages and functions.
