tuation. (Ill family member or other emergency) Students may use computers, ipads, eReaders or personal devices for educational purposes such as note taking or research when granted permission by the teacher. I will let students know when they can/cannot be using their devices through the use of a visual aid (maybe a red or green stop sign) to indicate when students may have their devices out. All electronic devices will be put away during tests or exams (unless specially approved). When using a music device, headphones must be worn and volume must be low enough that it does not become a distraction to other students. Students may access the Internet for class-related activities. All school policies must be followed and respected. Use of social media such as Facebook and twitter will not be allowed in the classroom. Students may access email or Edmodo for school-related communication. Students who are access inappropriate sites or are use electronics devices in a manner that is improper or distracting to their classmates will have their devices confiscated and will lose all device privileges for the day (maybe longer depending on the situation.)
