Assignment 1

Objective : To give an exposure about types of projection surface.

Duration : 1 week

Instructions : A fundamental projection classification is based on the type of projection surface onto which the globe is conceptually projected. These surfaces are cylindrical (E.g. Mercator), conic (E.g. Lambert), and azimuthal/plane (E.g.Stereographic). You are required to give other TWO (2) examples of projection name for each projection surface that available other than those learned in the lecture/mentioned above. The content should have the following specifications: i. ii. iii. iv. v. Introduction and brief history Countries that belong to those projection Applications Properties that they preserved and its reason. (Eg. Equidistant, equal-area or others ) References (External links or books)

Make sure that you have total of SIX (6) examples of projection names upon submitting this assignment.
