Writing and Numbering System Mechanical Machines Electric-Powered Machines Electromechanical and Digital Machines

Charles Babbage is considered the father of computers as he designed the Difference Engine and Analytical Engine in the 1820s-1830s, which had basic components of modern computers. ENIAC, completed in 1946, was the first general-purpose electronic computer capable of being reprogrammed. John Von Neumann is known as the father of computer science for identifying how to program machines in 1945. Computers have progressed through five generations from vacuum tubes to integrated circuits and now artificial intelligence, and are used widely today both by individuals with devices like smartphones and organizations with servers, mainframes, and supercomputers.

Father of Computers: Charles Babbage is known as father of computers because he wanted to create a machine that would perform error-proof calculations, and designed the Difference Engine for computing navigational tables in 1822 and in 1833, designed the Analytical Engine that had the basic components used in a modern computer. ENIAC: ( Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer) was the first general-purpose electronic computer. It was a capable of being reprogrammed to solve a full range of computing problems. Father of Computer Science: John Von Neuman is known as father of computer science because he identified to program machines in June 1945.
