NGCP continues restoration works post-Santi The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) continues to inspect, assess, and repair its lines and facilities affected by the passage of Typhoon Santi. Based on PAGASAs reports, the weather disturbance has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility and poses no further threat to any NGCP facilities. Among the affected facilities, the following transmission lines suffered severe damage and remain unrestored: 1. 2. 3. 4. Restoration time for the abovementioned lines cannot be estimated yet because the extent of the damage is still being assessed. NGCP assures the public of the expedited repair of the affected facilities and that it is ready to conduct similar disaster management activities to ensure reliable power transmission services. The corporation is also continuously taking necessary preparations and precautions to minimize the impact of succeeding tropical storms and disasters on NGCP operations and facilities. ###
