Assignment 2

1. Describe the function of an air filter?

2. Why is exhaust silencers used in a pneumatic system?

3. The advance stroke signal is input via a manual pushbutton. After reaching the
forward end position, the piston must press the work pieces together for 20s and
then return to its initial position. Design a pneumatic control circuit and name the
related pneumatics components involved for the following operations.
