Using The IEEE Master Brand
Using The IEEE Master Brand
The IEEE Master Brand consists of the IEEE logo, or kite, followed by the letters I-E-E-E. Frequent, careful and consistent use of the IEEE Master Brand will Ensure that IEEE organizations, products, services, and print and electronic materials are clearly identified as belonging to the IEEE; Enhance the IEEE name and reputation and help introduce potential members and customers to the IEEE; and Protect the IEEE name and logo from copyright infringement.
The following commonly used versions of the IEEE Master Brand are out of date and should not be used:
The logo may not be used alone except for membership pins.
The IEEE no longer uses its old slogan Networking the World. The vertical version of the IEEE Master Brand is approved only for use on books or other publications where the spine is not large enough to accommodate the IEEE Master Brand. Although very similar to the authentic IEEE Master Brand, the letters I-E-E-E in this version are in a different font and are not in proper proportion to the kite.
Use only this correct version of the IEEE Master Brand, shown in its minimum size of 1 1/8 inches. Tips on Using the IEEE Master Brand Correctly Keep one-half inch of space between the IEEE Master Brand and other graphics or text. (Address formats are an exception.) Always use the image in its entirety (both the logo and the letters I-E-E-E), and be sure not to distort it in any way. Position the IEEE Master Brand at the top of a vertical listing of multiple logos or on the left in a horizontal list. If there are non-IEEE sponsors in a list of logos, place the IEEE Master Brand before any other IEEE sponsors. Never use the IEEE Master Brand as part of any name or title. Instead, use the letters I-E-E-E.
