It is useful forstudents and residents and just as much for practitioners, many who may be quite a few years beyond their formal pharmacy training, As we all know, most books present informiation in sections, ie analgesic drugs, muscle relaxants, etc, and the reader is often leftin a position where the entire book must be reviewed. This book creates efficiencies for the practitioner or student One simply attempts to answer the questions in each section and where there are sections where the reader has difficulty With some number of questions; the book has just performed a valuable diagnostic service, It tells the reader which topic areas are in need of knowledge enhancement, and that means that the reader can spend less time on chapters where their knowledge is more up-to-date and complete, and devote more attention to subject matter where their test scores left something to be desired. ‘The practice of pharmacy is rapidly evolving and it is not sufficient to think that our education in 1984 or 1994 of even in 2004 is adequate today. Instead, we must take responsibility fo maintain professional competence. But, where do we begin?
