6 Baud Rate

Baud Rate is the speed at which your computer communicates with any hardware. Baud Rate is also called bps (bits per second) it specifies how many bits will transmitted per second. The CC2500 is a half duplex communicating medium.

Baud rate in Robosoft Systems 2.4 GHz RF module

Baud rate is the speed at which your computer communicates with any hardware through
the serial port. The selectable options are 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800 and 9600 bps. The baud rate that you select will be the one that is used to communicate with the hardware. Baud rate is also called bps (bits per second). It actually specifies how many bits will transmitted per second. The CC2500 is a half duplex communicating medium. When you select the baud rate, your computer will communicate with the hardware at that speed.

How to configure the baud rate?

To select a baud rate to communicate with the RF module, you have to select the proper
baud rate from the Baud Rate field. If you click on the Baud Rate field, you will find out that there are 256 options to select from. The number that you will select from the Baud Rate field, will be the baud rate for further communication. To save the baud rate from the software into the microcontroller, we have to press the "LOAD" button. Before you press the "LOAD" button, make sure that you have selected the correct baud rate. When a number is selected, it is marked as blue.
