Wolverine first appeared in the final of The Incredible Hulk #181. He was a superhuman agent of the Canadian government. In 1910, Logan traveled to a frontier community in the Canadian Rockies and met a young Blackfoot woman named Silver Fox whom he fell in love with. In late may, when he believed his birthday was, Saberetooth (another mutant) tracked down and killed Silver Fox, envious that Logan had found a measure of peace. When he discovered this gruesome scene, Logan flew into a rage and battled Saberetooth to no avail. In 1914, he joined the Canadian Army to fight during The Great War. During the battle in Belgium on April 22, 1915, Logan encountered Lazaer (Angel of Death) for the first time. A fight broke out and Lazaer got the upper hand and impaled Logan with his sword, but Logan pulled it out and impaled Lazaer to defeat him. Now every time he has a near death experience he has to battle Lazaer and win in order to return to the realm of the living and use his advanced healing factor to return to full health. Logan later traveled to China where he turned down the teachings of the art of war by the Chines warlord Ogan. After his time in China, he found himself in South America, where he ran across Mystique for the first time. They were both going to be executed by firing squad, but escaped using their mutant abilities and formed a small crime syndicate. They became romantically involved, but it was short lived after Logan reported their criminal activities to the authorities and the members of the syndicate were arrested. He then returned to Canada to take part in the Weapon X program. During WWII, Logan teamed up with Captain America and Bucky Barns in Madripool Canada. The two didnt know of Logans mutation and thought he was just a very lucky and talented soldier, which is how he got the nickname Lucky James. During the war they were on

a mission to rescue a little girl from captivity, but then Captain Americas attention was turned to the fascist organization called HYDRA. So the group split up and did their own thing. After the war Logan returned to Japan, having remembered Ogans offer to train him. He soon developed a deep love for Japan, especially the Samuri Culture and code of Bushido. He traveled the nation until he met the beautiful Itsu. They fell in love and started a family, but after accidentally killing a man during a disaster, he returned to find his wife dead, and his childed stolen by Romulus. He had nothing left in Japan so he returned to Canada to join with the Weapon X program again getting his trade mark adamantium skeleton. He then lost his memory due to the trauma of the procedure. History of Comic books One of the first creators of the comic book was William Hogarth. He created seven sets of sequential images on Modern Moral Subjects. One of his creations was A Rakes Progress. George Cruickshank helped create speech bubbles, which was a great leap in the development of comic books. In 1938 Action Comics #1 launched with Superman as its cover feature. The Japanese created Manga which was established after WWII by Osamu Tezuka. These later lead to the popular Anime. Manga was heavily influenced by Disney animations at the time. In the later half of the 20th century comics were becoming a very popular collectors item. Rodolphe Topffers work was considered very influential in shaping the basic form of comic books. This Volume of the Wolverine Comics depicts the events fallowing when Wolverine met a young woman named Lucy who had been watching him for awhile, and noticed him secretly helping her in small ways understanding that she was going through hard times. The story has Lucys voice narrating things she wrote in her secret diary about her experiences when she started watching Logan and asked him to help her with another problem that she wouldnt say. As it turns out, she was going to get killed by some people out to get her for some unexplained reason. When they made it to her door, Logan tried stepping out of his to help her but got shot full of holes by a guy with a sub machine gun. He wasnt able to stop them from killing Lucy. At the end it shows him finding her secret book that she was narrating throughout the chapter and ends it with dont forget me. Review I found this chapter to be a very touching story because it explains a life story that happens way more often than I ever wanted to acknowledge. People have to resort to very hard and undignifying means to survive, and sometimes that isnt even enough. No matter how hard some people try the world just kicks them down harder. Good people struggle to do the right thing and make ends meet while wile greedy or bad people steal and cheat, getting away with whatever they want ad no one stops them. Like Lucy, she knew what was going to happen when she died. She said they were just going to write her death off as sex, drugs, both, or even neither. Theyll make it forgettable. She wrote in her book. I especially felt bad for Logan. He truly wanted to help Lucy, but he wasnt able to. She saw her dead body as he dragged himself across the hall to see if she was still alive. Then he found her book that had her final words written in it. I cant imagine how hard that mustve been to go through. Even though hes had that happen to him on multiple occasions. It still has to be hard for him to go through. Even if they were practically

strangers, he still wanted to protect her. Im also thinking he was beginning to grow feelings for her because he was starting to become more sociable. Before she got the courage to talk to him he was an antisocial bum practically and would just wander around waiting for trouble to find him. He never wanted any trouble, it just always seemed to find him. Like what happened to Silver Fox, and Itsu. Those werent his fault it just happened out of some horrible twist of fate.
