In Personal Finance, you will discover what it takes to achieve financial success. You will learn how to manage your own money by using an effective budget, make smart decisions about banking, credit, investing, taxes, insurance, buying choices, and much, much more. Invisioning what your financial future is the beginning of controlling your financial life. You are never too young to learn the skills that will lead to economic independence. In todays ever-changing economy, one thing remains constant: an education about personal finance is a necessity!

Expectations:
In order to be successful you will need to maintain regular attendance and arrive to class on time with all material needed for class. Record notes, participate in discussions and activities, be an active group member and ask questions. Sharing your questions or comments during class helps me teach the class and helps you and your classmates learn. Assignments are due at the start of class and are expected to be handed in on the due date. If you are late or miss class but you are in school on the due date of the assignment, you are expected to submit the assignment. Your assignment will not be identical to anyone elses. Even if you work on the assignment together, the finished product must be different. If two or more assignments contain significantly similar written passages, they will be given the mark of zero. Copying = plagiarism. Tests will be announced at least one week in advance. You are expected to write tests on the assigned dates. If you are to be away on a test day, YOU must make alternate arrangements with me PRIOR to the scheduled time of the test AND you must provide a PARENTAL NOTE explaining the absence. You will write the missed test on your first day back to school. Tests missed due to unexcused absences will result in a mark of zero. If you dont understand the lesson, please see me for immediate clarification. If you are absent it is your responsibility to get caught up. Friend, Friend, Me.
