1.

On a Saturday, Peter earned 1/5 of a hundred pesos selling scraps of iron, of a hundred pesos cleaning a neighbors yard, and of a hundred pesos selling newspapers. How much did he earn that day?

SOLUTION:
1/5 ( 100 ) + 1/4 ( 100 ) + ( 100 ) = 20 + 25 + 50 = Php. 95.00

2. 1 1/3 + 1 2/5 + 1 2/3

= 4/3 + 7/5 + 5/3 20 + 21 + 25 = 66/ 15 or 4 6/ 15 or 4 2/5 15

3. 2 ha ( 2/3 ha + 3/4 ha ) = 2 ( 8/12 + 9/12 ) = 2 17/12 = 24/12 17/12 of ha. 4. 2 ( 5/6 ) = 5/3 or 1 2/3 m 2 - 1 2/3 = 5/2 5/3 = 15/6 10/6 = 5/6 5/6> 4/5 this means that there is still enough Mtrls for another shelf 4/5 m long.
