4. What aspect of the human condition do all religions agree upon? How does it connect to the concepts in #3? How do many religions attempt to address this issue / give humans the tools to do something about it? (5 pts.)

5. How do religions help with spiritual potential/perfection? Why might it be difficult for humans to try to reach it without a religions guidance? (4 pts.)

6. What three subquestions can help uncover what spiritual perfection looks like in any given religion? (3 pts.)

7. What is transcendence and how do most religions suggest humans make it happen? What are two examples of how human beings attempt to create a similar experience without religion? (6 pts.)

8. What is meant by salvation? What do humans want to be saved from, and how does religion suggest they can they can go about doing so? (5 pts.)

9. In some religions, what are the two possible ultimate destinies (also known as the afterlife)? What control do individuals have over what their ultimate destiny is? (4 pts.)

10. What is cosmology, and how does it play into religious beliefs? What is your or your religions view on how the world was created? (5 pts.)

11. What is the difference between theistic and nontheistic religions? What are the three subcategories of theistic religions mentioned in the text (define each). (8 pts.)
