TUTORIAL TIMECARDS

How do I get paid for tutoring?


Tutors need to present 2 forms, which are due and need to be signed every other

Payroll Timecard (issued by the Campus Service Center)


Tutor Time Sheet

Tutors are required to complete a Payroll Timecard for services rendered which
required a signature from a permanent member of staff before submission to the
Human Resources Office.
Diane Hansen, Mark Abelson, Craig Elliott, or John Garten-Shuman can sign your
Payroll Timecards. ALSO, feel free to slip them under my door. I will make sure to
sign them and get them to the Campus Service Center.
Payroll Timecard guidelines are available from the Campus Service Center.
On the Payroll Timecard (white card) the PAYCODE is 114 (workstudy employment)
or 116 (regular student employment); the SHIFT is 1 (work before 6PM) or 2 (work
after 6PM); the DEPARTMENT is 8053.

To help monitor the progress made within the Tutorial Program, Tutorial Services
requires that one additional form be completed: the Hours Reporting Form at
http://www.samuelmerritt.edu/academic_support/tutoring_hours. This form is a
summary of progress and verification of hours. We ask that you:
1. Fill in the time you start and the time you finish each session.
2. Note any progress or difficulties in your sessions.
3. Total your hours at the bottom of the form.

We track tutoring activity across the semester and year-by-year. Your support helps
us to plan for each coming semester, and to recruit and train tutors according to our
needs. Thank you!
