Digital Speech Recognition: Presented By:JYOTI Roll NO-56

This document discusses digital speech recognition and its applications. It begins by defining speech recognition as the process of converting spoken audio to text. It then discusses speech processing techniques like speech coding, synthesis, and recognition. Speech recognition can be used for healthcare, the military, video games, and other domains. The key aspects of speech recognition systems are accuracy, complexity, and robustness. Different types of speech recognition include isolated, connected, and continuous speech recognition. Open source speech recognition systems allow for real-time, medium-vocabulary continuous speech recognition and adaptability to channel changes.

DIGITAL SPEECH RECOGNITION

Presented By:JYOTI Roll NO-56

Speech recognition is the process of

converting an acoustic signal, captured by a microphone or a telephone, to a set of words. It means it is the translation of spoken words into text.

SPEECH CODING
1. Speech code refers to a frame work

for communication in a given speech community. 2. As an academy discipline, it explores the manner in which group. 3. Communicate based on societal, cultural, gender, occupational and other factors.

SPEECH SYNTHESIS
Speech synthesis is the artificial production of the speech.
A computer system used for this purpose is called a speech synthesizer and can be implemented in software or hardware products.

Synthesized speech can be created by concatenating pieces of recorded speech that are stored in a database.

SPEECH RECOGNITION
Speech recognition is also known as

Digital Speech recognition or Automatic Speech Recognition.

Recognizing the speaker can simplify the

task of translating speech.

Continuous Speech Recognition

The speech recognizer is the first open

source embedded SR system that is capable of real-time, medium-vocabulary continuous speech recognition.
This can be more adaptable for any kind of

channel changes.
