Paired Comparison Method

The paired comparison method involves comparing each employee to all other employees on various traits to determine who performs better. When comparing 5 employees, each employee is directly compared to the other 4 to make a total of 5(5-1)=10 decisions. This method systematically compares every possible pair of employees to evaluate relative performance.

Paired Comparison Method

Each worker is compared with all other employees in the group; for every trait, the worker is compared with all other employees. When there are five employees to be compared, then As performance will be compared with that of Bs and decision will be arrived at as to who is better. Next B is also compared to all others.

The number of decisions to be made can be determined with the help of the formula : n(n-2).
