Witnesses reported that two or three white females drove up in a silver or grey sedan, attempted to take the victim's purse, and when she refused, one of the females used pepper spray and took the purse. The Thomasville Police Department is asking anyone with information to call detectives Chet Jarrell or Tony Burgess.

    On Monday July 29, 2013 at approximately 3:00 pm, Thomasville Police Officers responded to the parking lot of Southgate Plaza at 1033 Randolph Street in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival officers found a 79 year old female had been pepper sprayed in the eyes and face and robbed of her purse. Witnesses describe two or three white females who drove up in a silver or grey sedan and attempted to take the victims purse. When the victim refused to hand over her purse, one of the females used pepper spray to disable the victim and take her purse. The victim was treated by Davidson County Emergency Medical services on the scene. Anyone with information is urged to call the Thomasville Police Department with information.
