Flow Requirements Table

This document provides pipe diameter and flow rate requirements for different types of plastic pipes. It lists the nominal pipe diameter, actual inner diameter, and gallons per minute (GPM) required to achieve flow velocities of 2 and 5 feet per second for pipes with SDR ratings of 21, 26, 9, 11 and Schedule 40. Pipes with smaller diameters require lower GPM rates to achieve the target velocities, while larger diameters require higher GPM rates. The GPM rates roughly double when the target velocity increases from 2 to 5 feet per second.
