Each kit includes a USRP N210 with daughterboard, loopback cable, two 30dB attenuators, antenna, power supply, and Ethernet cable. To use the USRP with MATLAB on a personal computer, the Signal Processing, DSP, and Communications toolboxes and USRP Support Package are required. When using MATLAB in the classroom, add the USRP path and setup the SDR each session. Precautions for the USRP include using a 30dB attenuator when loopback cabling to avoid damage, only using with 1000Mbps adapters, and setting the USRP IP as 192.168.10.2 and PC IP as 192.168.10.X where X is not 2.
