Project: Logic control system of a line-follower robot.

Objectives: Design and construct the logic control system of a line-follower robot using only logical gates (no microcontroller). The robot should autonomously follow a black line with no path bifurcations. Teamwork: not more than 4 students. Design considerations: The robot should detect the black line using three sensors. The line width is 1 inch. There are no bifurcations, but there is a straight crossing. The robot must be equipped with two DC motors for traction. By properly activating the motors, the robot can move forwards, as well as turns left or right. The general structure of the robot must be as shown in the following Fig.
