AVG ANTIVIRUS TUTORIAL

Information Security

1) Type in your browser www.avg.com. (See picture below for example of what you should see.)

2) Next click on the link that says AVG AntiVirus FREE 2013

3) After clicking you should now see a page that looks similar to the one below.

Scroll to the bottom of the page. (See picture below)

4) Now click DOWNLOAD. (See picture below)

5) You should see a page similar to the one below.

6) Click Download Now.

7) A box should appear like the one below click Save File.

8) A window should appear with a save name and file path (Top Left). ** TAKE NOTE OF WHERE YOU ARE SAVING **

9) Click the Save button. (See pic below)

10) Navigate to where AVG is saved. See picture below.

11) Double click on the AVG icon.

12) AVG installer should come into view. See pic below.

13) Verify it is in the correct language. Click Next. See pic below.

14) Read over the user license. See Picture below.

15) Click Accept to continue. See picture below.

16) The next screen should look like the one below.

17) Make sure you check Basic protection. Then click Next.

18) The next screen should look like the one below.

19) Check Express Install and then click Next. See picture below.

20) The AVG software should start installing. This may take a few minutes. See picture below)

21) After installation is complete the screen should look like the one below.

22) Click Restart Now. See picture below.

23) After the computer has restarted double click on the AVG Icon on the desktop.

24) The AVG interface should appear and look like the picture below.

25) Click Click to fix it all. This will update and fix all issues. See picture below.

26) After updates are fixed, click Scan now. See picture below.

27) Computer scan could take a few hours. See picture below.

28) After the scan is complete all threats should be resolved and complete. AVG will provide real time protection and recommend when to do a full system scan again. AVG will automatically update and update every time a scan is implemented.
