    restructured its activities to concentrate mainly on civil engineering and the growing market in utility
    infrastructure maintenance and renewal. The company is currently one of eight joint venture partners
    delivering £1.1bn of capital investment for Scottish Water.

    SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER Feb 05 – Present

    Contract Head for in house delivery team carrying out Water / Wastewater Infrastructure projects pan
    Scotland. Responsible for circa £40M total delivery expenditure during the contract period 2003–2005.
    Originally part of the bid team that secured the largest joint venture infrastructure contract in the UK.

    DESIGNATED RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Delivery of 340Km of clean water infrastructure renewal in synergy with £5million investment in
    Wastewater infrastructure upgrades.
    • Responsible for profit and cash performance of the contract.
    • Directly responsible for managing the contract team to maximise efficiency and performance to ensure
    the contract remains in gain share.
    • Evaluation of training programmes in order to ensure the workforce are trained to industry standards
    and client expectations.
    • Responsible for recruitment of the delivery team.
    • Continual monitoring and reporting on all contract specific key performance indicators including
    construction output, client satisfaction, health and safety, cash forecasting and staff training.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS

    CONTRACT DELIVERY: complying with statutory regulations, approved codes of practice, recognised
    guidelines and other requirements where applicable, and by actively promoting a positive and fair
    safety culture, that achieved and maintained the highest possible standards.
    • Consolidated the implementation of new management systems and recent company initiatives.
    • Implemented behavioural safety initiatives in accordance with needs of the water businesses to reduce
    third party utility damages.
    • Managed environmental aspects specific to each contract undertaken, including water pollution
    control, waste management, noise control, protection of wildlife and plants.
    • Maintained certification to ISO14001: International Standard for Environmental Management Systems.
    • Ensured joint consultation and co-operation with employees, environmental enforcement bodies,
    regulators and any other relevant and interested organisation/persons.
    • Achieved a 10% reduction in AFR. Ran safety leadership programmes for front line supervisors.
    Encouraged subcontractors to improve their standards of environmental management. Maintained
    certification to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

    DESIGN MANAGER: WATER MAIN REHABILITATION CONTRACTS Oct 99 – Feb 04

    Design manager on a number of framework rehabilitation contracts for key UK water company clients
    including Severn Trent, West of Scotland Water and Northumbria Water. The role included the
