After 3 hours of instruction, students will be able to create a narrated slide presentation using VoiceThread. The teacher will demonstrate how to save a slide presentation as a PDF, view example VoiceThread presentations, and instruct students to produce their own VoiceThreads using a slide presentation at assigned computer stations. Students will compose comments on peer threads and may need reteaching on the process.

Learning Goal: After 3 hours of instruction, students will be able to create a narrated slide presentation using VoiceThread.

Recall steps used in creating and saving a slide presentation 1

Proceed to an Internet browser and select VoiceThread. 4

Complete a graphic organizer used to compile information about a book recently read. 5

Instruct the students to go to assigned computer stations and begin to produce a Voicethread using a slide presentation. 6

Students will compose and post comments on peer threads. 7

Anticipate the need to reteach. 8

Demonstrate saving slide presentation as PDF 2

Display how to log on to Voicethread using an email address, 4.1 Use this information to draft a script to be used for the thread. 5.1

Use one of the potential starters provided. 7.1

Generate and place a student guide on how to create a Voicethread next to each student computer. 8.1

View examples presentation created using VoiceThread 3

Select the Create tab, and click on Upload. 4.2

Locate and complete the (Add a title and description.) 4.3

Select Comment at the bottom of the slide to begin recording. 4.4

Explain this process is repeated for each individual slide. 4.5

Describe how to share by selecting the Share and Get Link tab. 4.6
