Scott Lewis is leaving Channel 7 in July, when his contract expires. Lewis, who joined Channel 7 in July of 2010, has decided to pursue and establish a great opportunity outside of the broadcasting industry. Prior to joining Channel 7, Lewis spent more than 20-years at WJBK FOX 2 in Detroit where he was the Lead Investigative Reporter for the majority of his tenure. Lewis, who spent a number of years in News Radio here in Detroit at both WWJ and WXYT, began his career at age 16 in his hometown of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. During his 25-years in Television News, Scott Lewis earned 13 Emmy Awards in addition to awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and Associated Press and most recently was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Michigan Branch of the Associated Press. Lewis, who has been the epitome of what a hard-edged aggressive reporter should be, made his mark with his ability to expose predators, corrupt politicians and government waste. "I want to thank Channel 7 for the great opportunity they gave me. I am very proud of the accomplishments of the Channel 7 Action News Investigators, and I will miss all of the great people who have helped me to excel," said Lewis.
