Equivalent Length Method

This document outlines a method for calculating pressure loss in piping systems using equivalent pipe lengths. It provides a table with the equivalent pipe length in feet for common components like elbows, tees, and valves. The table is used to calculate the total equivalent pipe length and resulting pressure loss for four sample piping sections. By adding the equivalent lengths of each component, the pressure loss through a complex piping network can be estimated and compared to pressure loss tables for straight pipe sections.
