ESSAY WRITING Describing a process

ESSAY WRITING
(Version 2) Task: The diagram describes different stages in a products life cycle and the related environmental issues. Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.
Essay:

The diagram demonstrates various steps of a products life cycle and the related influence of it on the environment. In the first place, the production plan is made and the model is designed. Decisions on the materials, the size, the frame, the quantity, even the future market of the products are considered carefully in this stage. The second step is the consumption of materials and energy resources. This means selected materials are transported to the factories and types of energy are used to change raw materials into appropriate forms. Once the materials are ready, the process moves to the third phase, production, where parts of the product are produced and then put together to create a complete one. Subsequently, the finished product is packaged and distributed to places for selling. Following that is the sales as the fifth stage with the effort of marketers and sellers to trade the product. Finally, the use of the products by customers is the sixth stage. When the items are out of order and cannot be used any more, some of them are disposed while the others are recycled in the stage seven. The recycled ones then are moved directly back to step two and follow the process as described. In contrast, if there is nothing for recycling, the process will repeat the cycle again with step one as the start.
