To the Student
Guide focuses on learning words that are very specific to understanding the content of your textbook. It also highlights general academic words that you need to know so that you can understand any textbook. Learning new vocabulary words will help you succeed in school. nections between their lives and the text and predict what will happen next in the reading. They question the information and the author of the text, clarify information and ideas, and visualize what the text is saying.
