generator drive engines for FG Wilsons, BBC Phase 2 Project The 18VP185 is the most recent development of the VP185 engine range and incorporates state of the art technology with proven reliability. There are over 295 VP185 engines in service or on order, examples having run 24,000 hours of operation to major overhaul. The VP185 has amassed over 1,000,000 hours experience, including a high proportion of operational hours at low power and/or idling and offers the following major benefits :High availability (typically in excess of 95%). Low fuel consumption. High output power at 1500 and 1800 rpm. Highly competitive through life costs. Customer support is a major concern for engine operators and the VP185 package is supported by a comprehensive worldwide service network. This enables MAN B&W Diesel Ltd to provide our customers with support 24 hours, 365 days a year in many regions of the world. In addition to representing excellent capital value, the VP185 offers competitive fuel consumption and through life costing. If required this can be supplied based upon the engines expected operating profile.
