Personal Summary Bachelors degree in Elementary Education (K-6). Certification in teaching English as a Second Language, and Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum (5-9). Currently have two years experience in a selfcontained third grade classroom, and one year experience teaching in a computer lab. I am passionate about giving children the best possible education in life. Able to establish a supportive relationship with not only students, but also their parents and fellow teachers. Prine Elementary August 2010-Present First year at Prine, I was responsible for running the computer lab for daily specials. I would collaborate with the K-5 teachers to see what they felt their students needed for extra practice; from letter recognition to multiplication facts. I also would use positive behavior support in the lab to increase academic performance. My next two years at Prine, I taught all subjects in a regular classroom at the third grade level. My last year at Prine, I was very involved in collaborative planning, common assessments, and getting ready for the incoming Common Core Curriculum. Level 1: Orange-Ridge Bullock 400 30th Ave. West Bradenton, FL. 34205 From 9/1/06 12/10/06 Interned in a fifth-grade dropout prevention class. Many of the students should have been in middle school, and were struggling to stay in school. I worked with the teacher, Barbara Marinaro, who was teaching them everyday life skills, as well as academics. Level 2: Gene Witt Elementary 200 Rye Road Bradenton, FL. 34208 From 1/8/07 4/29/07 Interned in two different grade levels. First worked in an inclusion thirdgrade classroom with Sally Farrell, and then worked in a first-grade classroom with Kathy Price. Level 3: Ballard Elementary 912 18th Street West Bradenton, FL. 34205 From 9/04/07 12/08/07 Interned in a first-grade classroom with Heather Ash and Chris Wozniak, who team-taught. There were 27 students in the class, who were on different levels of learning, and seven of these students were in the ESOL program. I also had three kindergarten students that came in during the literacy block.
