Other requirements: Proficient in development environment in Linux as well as Competence in MS-Office Suite, Visio, MS Project PHP/Java/C Coding Skills Job Description: Demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Managing large scale database system Installation, configuration and upgrading of MYSQL database server software and related products Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Establish High availability by Replication/Clustering Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges) and integrity Data migration between various databases and across the platform Perform database tuning and performance monitoring Perform application tuning and performance monitoring Monitor and optimize MySQL database performance and capacity planning Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams Patch Management and Version Control Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability Develop and optimize database design for new applications
