Before we start, I encoded some detail on our worksheet. As you can see, I limit my data in row # 15 and just simply encoded it there without doing anything yet to look it the same as the sample output. To achieve this sample output, I do the following:
Select all the cell that contains data. Click Wrap Text icon from alignment group to make all content visible within a cell by displaying it on multiple lines.
While the cells are selected, you can edit the alignment of the data from alignment group. (I use Middle Align and Center) Middle Align.
To change the column width or row height, click Format icon from the cells group then choose the action you want to apply. In this activity I only choose Autofit Column Width to edit the column width since Im not going to change the row height.
I use Increase Indent to increase the margin between the border and the text on the cell and to look it like this >>>. The Increase Indent icon is located at the alignment group.
After clicking the Table icon, A dialog box will appear If the data are not yet selected/highlighted, Type here the location of data you want to put in table. Since the data are already selected/highlighted, Click OK to continue.
While the table/data are selected, under the Design tab in Table Style Options group, select/checked the Banded Rows and Banded Columns. Selecting Banded Rows provide your table even rows from odd rows. Selecting Banded Columns provide your table even columns from odd columns.
You can format the table under the Design tab, like the table style inside the Table Styles group. When youre done, you can view the output in print preview (Ctrl + F2).
