Year 3 Homework Week 1 Term 2 2013

Dear Parents and Caregivers of Year 3 Students, Welcome back to term 2. We hope that you all had an enjoyable holiday and that your children are ready for a very busy term of learning. *Our first topic is a science theme. We will be looking at the Earths crust, tectonic plates and the impact disasters have on people and the environment. If you have some resources or knowledge in this area please come and talk to your childs teacher. *Our Readers and Writers Festival is in the last week of term. We will be completing work leading up to this event. Please talk to your child about their favourite book/s. Please bring them into school to share. Talk about your familys favourite author too. What makes it a family favourite? *Class Photos will be taken at the end of May. *Please remember that the Room 17s Library day is Wednesday please make sure Library books are brought back in a bookbag every Wednesday. Homework is due in every Friday. *We will be beginning to learn our timestables from week 5 just after Queens Birthday. Please ensure that your child knows their addition facts up to and from 20 without counting on their fingers.
